I & R Process

Identification & Recruitment

Chris handles the enrollement, therefore when a migrant student enters into the school, she is able to enroll them into the Migrant Program at that time. Other families will call and indicate that a new family has arrived in the community and qualifies for Migrant Services. Chris will go out to the home and interview and enroll the family into the program.

Other school sites will contact Burrel Union and let them know that a new family is moving from their district to the Burrel district.

Assessment Tools

There is a form that is provided, from the Migrant Office and is give to the teachers that is used to report on the student's progress.

State tests are also in place to track student development. Also, when parents come from other sites, a printout is sent of the students grades to help create a starting benchmark from which student growth can be assessed.
