The Raisin City Liaison enjoys helping in three areas: Being a voice for the Migrant Parents as a translater; Tutoring the students; and bringing resources and new things that the Migrant parents don't have.
Raisin City School promotes an environment for success and creates partnerships with parents and the community so all students will achive their full potential to become lifelong learners and responsible and productive citizens and leaders.
Tutoring provided for Migrant students. Leadership Camp (as assigned by FCOE). MEES (Migrant Education Even Start) tutoring students at the age of 0 to 7 years.
Summer School Objectives
Tutoring students targeted for retention are required to participate.
I & R Process
Identification & Recruitment
When parents come in and register, the Migrant Liaison interviews the parents to see if they qualify for the Migrant Program.
The Migrant Liaison works close with the Caruthers Unified Liaison and School Readiness Program to recruit Migrant families.
The I&R efforts are continued year-round. There is only one persons assigned to handle I&R activities.
Assessment Tools
List: California Standardized Test & California English Language Development Test. Data is accumulated by the district reading specialists.

Meetings are held at 6:00PM at the Raisin City School Cafeteria. There is also a Mini Conference in April or May 2008 at Raisin City Scoot District.

Health Support Services & Health Clinics
The Liaison fills out a health assessment form and the Migrant nurse evaluates that requests, then sets appointments by contacting the Raisin City Liaison for transportation.

Other Programs
Preschool Program, Tutoring in Afterschool Program and 21 Centruy provides individuals with reading, math and computer lab. Reading specialists, Math specialists, Dare to Dream, Sports, Dancing, Community Service Project, Student Council, First 5 (School Readiness Program) service Migrant students from the ages of 0 to 5 years.
