VISION 

The Migrant College Mentoring Program will link migrant students grades 6th-12th with college mentors whom will serve as role models/support systems and guide students as they prepare for a college education.

 

 

 

GOALS:

        I.  To increase retention rates among migrant students grades 6th – 12th

        II.  To increase academic performance of migrant students grades 6th – 12th

        III.  To expose migrant students to a college culture/environment

        IV.  To increase the involvement of migrant students in academic, leadership, and social cultural activities relevant to education

        V.  To enhance fundamental basic skills such as reading, writing, and mathematics by providing supplemental learning activities

        VI.  To help migrant students develop leadership and social skills

        VII.  To increase parent involvement in strengthening family and educational values

         VIII. To increase the migrant students’ self-esteem and leadership values
