Migrant Activities

Migrant Youth Day

Migrant Youth Day is a collaboration between the Migrant Education Office and CAMP (College Assisted Migrant Program) at Fresno State University. It is offered as a one-day orientation for high school students where they listen to a motivational speaker and attend sessions to learn about Financial Aid, Admissions and Applications, and Scholarships. A tour of the campus is included and lunch at the Student Dining Hall is always a plus for the students. This event is generally conducted each spring and approximately 250 students participate.

Migrant Senior Day

Another equally important day for high school students is Migrant Senior Day. As indicated, this one-day conference is for seniors only and is designed in the same format as Migrant Youth Day. This October event is held early in the school year to permit graduating students an opportunity to get their paperwork in order as they prepare to enter college.
